Meet the Maker
A Crochet Artist and Designer Behind Pinkitty Creations
About
If you are here, there is a good chance we have already crossed paths. Maybe you liked something I was wearing and asked, “Did you make that yourself?”
Yes, I did. And yes, I usually take that as a compliment.
I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. My creative roots trace back to my grandmother, who was a crochet artist, and to a childhood class at a Joann’s in Fountain Valley where I learned the basic granny square. That is the extent of my formal crochet training. Everything else has come from curiosity, experimentation, and learning as I go.
After stepping away from a former party girl lifestyle, I found myself with time, clarity, and a strong desire to create. I earned an A.A. in Fashion Design from Fullerton College, picked up a crochet hook again, and started making things simply because they made me smile. That joy is still the foundation of everything I design.
My work is inspired by bold personalities and playful rebellion. Betsey Johnson, Vivienne Westwood, and Lisa Frank all influence my creative world. I believe clothing and accessories should feel expressive, personal, and a little adventurous.
Pinkitty Creations is my first step in sharing my work beyond myself. I am not sure exactly where it will lead, but I do know what matters to me.
I crochet every piece myself.
I follow through and deliver what I create.
I genuinely care about the life these garments and accessories live.
I love imagining where my pieces go once they leave my hands. If you wear an apron frock, does it go to school, to a party, on a date, or just out into the world for the day? I truly want to know.
This site is an open invitation to explore, to connect, and to share stories. If something here speaks to you, or if you are curious about my designs, I would love to hear from you.
Life is a great adventure.
Pinkitty Creations is your armor.
Suit up.
